CK and Jones Visa Information: visiting the uk, studying in the uk, working in the uk, uk residency, british citizenship and the life in the uk test

applying to study in the uk

As part of the wide hsmp changes, from 1 September 2007 all nationals of countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) require prior entry clearance as a student for studying in the UK.

The exception is if you wish to enter under the new category of student visitor.

For a course which is less than six months you can come as a student visitor, where the same entry clearance restrictions apply as those of a visitor visiting the uk.
