Work Permits UK: Employer Sponsorship Registration Launched

As part of the numerous highly skilled migrant programme changes introduced by the government, employers will issue their own Certificates of Sponsorship for workers requiring work permits UK. In order for employers to do this they must maintain standards in meeting requirements and responsibilities, record-keeping, reporting, compliance and cooperation, in order to remain on the Sponsor’s Register for work permits UK.

The employers Sponsor’s Register is an important component of the governments HSMP changes and is intended to aid the monitoring of employers and increasing compliance. Employers who fail to comply fully will be penalized meaning they can not sponsor highly skilled migrants for work permits UK until improvements are made. If no improvements are made, the employer may be removed from the register meaning they can no longer apply for work permits UK.

At the time of registration, employers will need to state the tiers within which they wish to sponsor migrants for work permits UK. They will also need to state the number of Certificates that they expect to issue which will be closely monitored against previously agreed quantities and types.
